Pittsylvania County’s GIS Website Parcel Search Options will ONLY search parcels and their related real estate information, which are currently listed and regularly updated in the Real Estate Database System of the Commissioner of the Revenue’s Office, as “parent” parcels.

“Parent” parcels are parcels that are the “parent” account ID number (GPIN) to multiple “child” parcels, which are shown individual with their own parcel account ID number (GPIN), but actually have NO real estate information of their own and are listed under their related “parent” account ID number (GPIN) in the Real Estate Database System of the Commissioner of the Revenue’s Office.

To confirm or verify any parcel information concerning any examples of these “parent” or “child” parcels please use the GIS Website’s “Identity” function on the desired parcel itself or contact the Commissioner of the Revenue’s Office at (434) 432-7940 or the GIS Coordinator’s Office at (434) 432-7998.
